SOCIAL STUDIES

Welcome to the sixth grade social studies program! Over the course of the year the students will be working on a variety of activities to broaden their knowledge of the history of the ancient world and how it affects the way we live today.

 

Our units of study will include:

  • Map skills review
  • Ancient Mesopotamia
  • Ancient Egypt
  • Ancient Greece
  • Ancient Rome

 

This website provides downloadable sections from the textbook, homework assignments, binder resources, and links to information and activities related to the curriculum.

Grammar Essentials

Word Study lists are given out on Friday.  The following Friday a spelling and vocabulary quiz are given. 

Each Monday a practice packet goes home with 3 or 4 activities, these are due on Friday.
