Students must:

(A) Track their independent reading in September and October Calendars (80 minutes/week)

(B) Nonfiction Reading Log:  Fill out responses on reading log sheet provided in packet related to the nonfiction book you selected.

(C) Read a biography and write five biographical journal entries, taking the point-of-view of the subject

(D) Create visual evidence drawing from the non-fiction book you selected. (drawing, posterboard, artifact)


SEPTEMBER 20 Checkpoint #1:  Students must submit one of either (B), (C), or (D)

OCTOBER 4   Checkpoint #2:  Students must sumbit another of (B), (C), or (D)

OCTOBER 18 Entire portfolio due for final project grade
