PHS POST PROM

The Post Prom will be held 
Wednesday, June 3rd - 11:00 pm - 3:00 am
at the Elks Lodge, 141 Pelham Street, Newport

Welcome to the PHS Post Prom Webpage!

On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, the PHS Class of 2015 will celebrate their Senior Prom.  Following the prom, a Post Prom Party will be held at the Elks Lodge.  The goal is to provide our children with an enjoyable and safe place to be on prom night.  This has been a very successful event over the past eight years.

The success of this party depends upon parent volunteers --- lots of them!  We have formed committees for food, decorating, activities & entertainment, and fundraising.  The cost of this event will be funded 100% through donations from parents, local businesses, and community groups.

Since the students are free to leave at any time, our goal is to provide activities, food, and prizes that will encourage them to stay until the end (3:00 am).  Some activities we provide include: a disc jockey with dancing; slideshow; photo booth; cash cube; a casino party theme complete with blackjack and roulette wheels (of course no REAL wagering will take place), plenty of food, gifts raffled off throughout the evening, and major door prizes given to seniors throughout the evening.  The door prizes will get better as the night goes on.  In the past few years, the 3:00 am door prizes were $1,000 cash.

RAFFLE CONTRIBUTIONS
One of the most popular activities at Post Prom is the Raffle, which awards prizes during the night, but only to students that are present!  This helps keep students at the Post Prom through the night.  
Raffle contributions of any size are needed!

FOOD DONATIONS
It takes a large amount of food to host an event of this magnitude - hundreds of teenages can pack it away.  The Food Committee has soliticited pizza and sandwiches from local businesses.  However, there are numerous items that are still needed.

It would be greatly appreciated to have food donations dropped of at the Elks Lodge from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  If this is not possible, there are contact names at the top of the sign-up to arrange for drop-off.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The success of this event depends upon parent volunteers -- LOTS OF THEM!  

There are specific stations and times you can sign-up to help with.  Once you sign up, consider yourself hired!  There will be no reminder or confirmation sent.
